Warehouse Carpenter

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using different types of materials including wood, laminate, mdf, etc…. This includes building items such aswalls and event structures, making repairs to the internal and external constructions and ensuring builds are safe.

Essential position functions:

• Build required items including specialty furniture
• Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
• Assist with the delivery and installation of custom builds as needed
• Shape or cut materials to specified measurements, using power & hand tools, machines, or power saw.
• Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Build or repair furniture, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, and power tools.
• May need to select and order lumber and other required materials.
• Responsible for designing, building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel.
• Check work along the way to ensure it’s up to code and specifications.
• Communicate build delays and expenses with Production Coordinators, Warehouse Co and Crew Managers

Position Requirements:

• Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance
• Good eye-hand coordination
• Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
• Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Professional interaction communication skills
• Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring tools, pneumatic tools, levels and measuring tape
• Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
• Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays and be oncall as necessary.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on the changing priorities of the department.
• Capability to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Capability to lift & move an excess of 50lbs unassisted as is necessary in the normal flow of the day today workload.
• Capability to lift 100lbs with assistance

Warehouse Labor

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our company sends upscale event rentals and furnishing out to over 800 events a year–and we do it with the help of dedicated warehouse laborers! We are currently looking to hire 2-3 qualified individuals to join our team to assist with the warehouse + inventory maintenance and storage. REQUIRED to have a clean driving record. Ideally our candidate would have some experience or aptitude with handling, lifting, and maneuvering, heavy high-end merchandise; exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills; pays strong attention to detail; possess a keen memory, good eye-hand coordination and basic math skills; and have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in warehouse storage maintenance desirable.
• Customer service oriented.
• Reliable and dependable and self- motivated to carry out routine daily work schedule.
• Must be able to work harmoniously with a team of crew members.
• Must be able to perform physical labor on a daily basis and in extreme desert temperatures.
• Knowledgeable of and willing to follow all safety precautions and security procedures.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends or holidays as needed.
• Must have ability to learn safety procedures in moving warehouse furniture.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check.
• Exhibit and trade-show experience preferred. Physical Demands/Environment
• Work is characterized as physically demanding.
• Work involves frequent reaching overhead and below the knees to carry and move assembled and non- assembled furniture.
• Work involves frequent standing, walking, lifting both indoors (sometimes in non- air conditioned buildings) and periods of time outdoors.
• Work involves occasionally hauling, lifting, carrying, moving, transferring and placing up to 50 pounds without assistance; pull and push 79 pounds unassisted.
• Work involves occasionally operating vehicles.
• Work frequently involves the ability to visually inspect tools, equipment or machines.
• Work involves occasional exposure to extreme desert heat.

Controller

JOB DESCRIPTION

To support the COO, carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting Department. Ensures job and vendor files are complete and maintained as needed, handles general bookkeeping responsibilities.

Essential Position Functions:

• Ability to manage and monitor accounting for (3) entities
• Manages, reviews, and ensures job expenses and job costing are allocated
• Ensure that accounting documentation and job files are properly recorded and entered
• Respond to accounting related correspondence as needed within the department
• Practice general accounting, and reporting of financial statements
• Manage and ensure timely processing of payments, and documents; such as invoices, journal vouchers, employee reimbursements, bi-weekly payroll and banking activity.
• Manages and monitors estimates billed against items ordered and received.
• Conduct Month and Year-End closing and reports
• Prepares and submits to COO monthly financial statements for evaluating department expenses and company performance
• Manages and posts financial data to appropriate accounts using company accounting system, according to instructions.
• Assist’s COO on administration, compliance, and reporting for employee benefits
• Reviews and submits on-line invoice transactions.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to advise executive management
• Maintains a financial forecasting report of company finances, monitors cash flow with COO
• Assists COO on setting budgets
• Monitors and manages A/R billings and collections with delinquent accounts.
• Processes vendor payments or refunds
• Calculates, applies and manages multi- state applicable taxes
• Ability to manage an accounting staff
• Other tasks as assigned by COO and CEO

Position Requirements:

• Extremely detailed and exceptionally organized is an absolute must
• Must have the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management within the company.
• Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
• Required knowledge and use of Excel Spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Required knowledge and 8 years active daily use of Quickbooks Desktop and 4 years of Expensify
• Must have experience with email communication and using client-based accounting platforms in order to execute general accounting procedures
• Knowledge and verified experience within the Events Industry
• Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping terminology and practices.
• Knowledge of general record keeping and filing systems.
• Ability to detect errors and/or fraudulent activity
• Ability to follow, apply, interpret, and explain instructions and/or guidelines.
• Very good verbal skills.
• Ability to work extended hours as necessary to get the job done.
